Soft Wash Systems: Skid, Truck & Trailer Mount

A soft wash system is a complete pump unit, with a pump, a gas engine or electric drive and a frame, ready to plumb into your tank, proportioner and reel. Most systems here are low-pressure, high-volume soft wash skids. The Pressure Ranger high-low machines add high-pressure washing on the same skid. Contractors usually run one as a truck mount or trailer mount, bolting it down in a truck bed or on a trailer. This collection has complete systems only. For pumps, rebuild kits and loose parts, see our Comet P40 and soft wash parts collections.

Soft wash systems, skids and high-low machines we carry

  • Comet P40 Soft-Wash Skid: 12 GPM at up to 300 PSI. Choose a Honda GX200 pull start, Honda electric start, or CRX225 electric start. About 80 lb.
  • AR45 Soft-Wash System: up to 11.4 GPM at 290 PSI, Honda engine with pull or electric start, gear-driven pump with a bolt-on regulator and pressure gauge on an aluminum skid of about 14 x 20 in.
  • AR60 Soft-Wash System, Honda Pull Start and Honda Electric Start: up to 15.6 GPM at 290 PSI with an AR60 diaphragm pump (poly heads and manifolds).
  • AR60 CRX Soft-Wash System: up to 15.6 GPM at 290 PSI with a CRX 208cc pull-start or 224cc electric-start engine on an aluminum skid.
  • VIPower Batch Bandit: an electric soft wash skid built on a Comet P40 pump and a brushless DC motor. It runs from an included 56V LiFePO4 battery for about 90 minutes at full power and delivers up to 11.4 GPM at about 290–300 PSI.
  • Pressure Ranger 6 GPM: a belt-drive high-low machine, about 400–3,000 PSI, with a Honda GX390 electric start (3 amp or 18 amp charging) driving an AR stainless steel pump on an extruded aluminum base. Special order.
  • Pressure Ranger 10 GPM: the same high-low design at about 400–3,500 PSI, with a Honda iGX800 electric start (18 amp charging). Special order.

How to choose a soft wash skid for your truck or trailer rig

Gas or battery. Gas units use Honda or CRX engines in pull-start or electric-start versions, and you refuel to keep working. The battery-powered Batch Bandit runs without gas fumes or engine noise, which helps on noise-sensitive jobs, but run time depends on the battery.

Flow (GPM). The soft wash skids here run from about 11.4 GPM (AR45, Batch Bandit) to 12 GPM (Comet P40) and 15.6 GPM (AR60). The Pressure Rangers are 6 or 10 GPM. More flow needs larger suction, bypass and hose sizes. Match the pump's flow to your proportioner, hose ID and reel. If you are unsure, call us before you order.

Soft wash only or high-low. The diaphragm-pump skids are rated around 290–300 PSI. They are soft wash pumps, not pressure washers. The Pressure Rangers cover high-flow rinsing, soft washing and high-pressure chemical application from one skid. You switch modes with a valve adjustment, or with the optional remote on the Batch Bandit proportioning system (sold separately). They also accept premixed batches.

Truck mount or trailer mount. Check the skid footprint and weight in each product listing against the space in your truck bed or on your trailer. For example, the AR45 skid is about 14 x 20 in. and the Comet P40 skid weighs about 80 lb. The Pressure Rangers sit on four rubber anti-vibration isolators. Mounting hardware varies, so check each listing for what is included, or call us.

Soft Wash System FAQ

What is the difference between a soft wash system and a pressure washer?

A soft wash skid uses a low-pressure diaphragm pump (about 290–300 PSI on the skids here) to apply cleaning solution at high volume. A pressure washer uses a high-pressure pump to clean with water force. The Pressure Ranger high-low machines do both.

Do you have a soft wash system that also does high pressure?

Yes. The Pressure Ranger 6 GPM (about 400–3,000 PSI) and 10 GPM (about 400–3,500 PSI) are belt-drive high-low machines. They handle soft washing, high-flow rinsing and high-pressure chemical application, and you switch modes with a valve adjustment. Both are special-order items, so contact us for the current lead time.

Can I use these as a truck mount or trailer mount soft wash skid?

Yes. These are complete units on skids or bases that contractors typically bolt into a truck bed or onto a trailer alongside the tank and reel. Check each listing's dimensions and what is included, or call 352-571-4654 before you plan your rig.

Which soft wash system has the most flow?

Among the low-pressure soft wash skids, the AR60 systems have the highest flow, rated up to 15.6 GPM. The Pressure Ranger 10 GPM is the highest-flow high-low machine.

Is there a soft wash skid that doesn't use gas?

Yes. The VIPower Batch Bandit runs a Comet P40 pump from an included 56V LiFePO4 battery.

Do you sell parts for these systems?

Yes. We stock Comet P40 rebuild kits and parts, plus AR45 and AR60 parts.

Can I pick up a soft wash system locally?

Yes. Order online and choose local pickup at our Wildwood, FL location. Call 352-571-4654 with questions.
