This forged brass male elbow connects 1/2" ID hose to a 1/2" male NPTF thread at 90 degrees. Barb fittings are for low-pressure lines such as water supply, suction, chemical and soft-wash lines. Do not use them on the high-pressure side of a pressure washer.
Brass resists corrosion and is easy to seal, making it a good all-round choice for water and mild chemical plumbing.
