This brass long garden hose inlet fitting connects a 3/4" female garden hose thread to a 1/2" male NPT pump inlet port. It also has a 1/4" FPT port. The longer body gives extra clearance around the pump. It is meant for the low-pressure water supply side, not the high-pressure outlet.
Brass resists corrosion and is easy to seal, making it a good all-round choice for water and mild chemical plumbing.
